Medibotics LLC

Medibotics is a development stage LLC with patent-pending intellectual property including pressure-sensor based technology for measuring human joint motion. This technology is part of a research effort to develop full-body "motion recognition clothing." The long-term goal of "motion recognition clothing" is ambulatory and portable measurement of full-body motion, including both large-scale and small-scale joint movements, for extended periods of time that does not require cameras and is not confined to a particular laboratory or studio setting. Potential applications for "motion recognition clothing" include: energy expenditure measurement and energy balance management throughout the day; recording and enhancing sports motion; medical diagnosis, physical rehabilitation, and injury prevention -- especially real-time avoidance of back injury due to incorrect posture; avatar animation in virtual reality and full-body motion control in computer gaming; and robotic teleoperation.
