Medical Sapiens

Medical Sapiens: AHP and AI applied for better patient care, streamlining health care and supporting the physician to obtain an accurate, early and timely diagnosis. The Medical Sapiens platform consists of two web applications: - Med Sapiens, which supports physicians in their diagnostic decisions by increasing certainty, and - PreMed Sapiens, a pre-consultation that prioritises patients and directs them to the right specialist by linking the symptoms of their condition to the Med Sapiens application. This self-care service can be used in telemedicine and healthcare waiting rooms to improve service quality and optimise treatment times. The most valuable feature of Medical Sapiens is a database of over 1000 diseases configured around 35 models of the human body. These models represent the different parts of the body in detail. The description of these models and diseases was carried out with a team of medical specialists from different Chilean universities over a period of four years. Using the database and the body models, the application allows medical diagnoses to be made about a patient based on the description of the symptoms and signs he or she presents. It does this by calculating the degree of compatibility between the patient's profile of symptoms and signs and possible diseases on the same scale.
