MEDIMET was licensed on December 1, 1973 in the name of Bengal Research Institute (BRI) with location of manufacturing plant at Kaligonj, Jhenaidah, Jessore and operating up to 1984. For the greater interest of expansion, control and supervision, the manufacturing plant was shifted to Barisal in 1985. In the year 1987 it was renamed MEDIMET Pharmaceuticals. In 1988, for further extension, modernization and to equip with latest technical assistance, the company was formed a Privet Limited Company confined to it share holders. Under the new management, the company had gone to develop its manufacturing plant as per CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) using modular concept regarding pharmaceuticals plant which is authorized by the World Health Organization. Company constructed separate buildings, with all modern technical facilities.
We have 23 nos. administrative and distribution channels all over Bangladesh to ensure a smart supply of products. We are working for the better health of people as well as strengthen the economy of the country, that’s why our more than 350 field forces working though out the country. MEDIMET has gained its capability to ensure smooth supply of variety Tablets, Capsules, Syrup, Suspension, Liquid & powder for parenteral, Ointment and Sachets preparation.
