At Medisonal, we make it easier and more affordable for patients to access Cannabis-Based Products for Medicinal Use (CBPM). We understand the difficulty patients currently often have when it comes to finding doctors who will prescribe CBPM. Our technology-based solution will provide a vital matching service for patients and doctors, giving access to a network of GMC-registered consultants and clinicians with expertise in prescribing personalised cannabis-based treatments. As a pioneer in the UK CBPM market, we know that it is not enough for us to be simply an importer and distributor. In order to fulfil our aim to make these medicines more available, affordable and acceptable, we also lead the field in educating patients, practitioners and agencies in their uses and benefits. We also recognise that there is a lack of easy access to reliable information for doctors about CBPM and their use. Medisonal’s contribution is also through bespoke education programs for practitioners to increase their understanding of the effectiveness of CBPM for conditions where there is clear evidence that cannabinoids can have a positive impact. The educational programme we offer is based on expertise gained through research and clinical trials, and designed to help practitioners become more comfortable with prescribing CBPM. We are developing partnerships with a number of teaching hospitals in the UK and abroad to contribute to clinical studies on the medical efficacy of CBPM in the treatment of specific conditions. We will endeavour to work with all UK medical bodies, Government agencies and lobbying groups. As a team, we ensure that we remain current, collaborative and influential on the future of CBPM acceptance and their wider use to help make a difference to patients’ lives.
