Members receive a personal Medi-Kit (including rapid tests and an FDA-approved TytoCare device for in-clinic grade remote exams), and have 24/7 access to a dedicated medical team — for everything from prescription refills to specialist coordination to travel abroad support. It’s private pay, supplemental care that fills the gaps left by student health centers and urgent care — and provides peace of mind for parents. MedShield Ascend was founded in mid-2024 by a team of experienced physicians and entrepreneurs who recognized the unique challenges young adults face in accessing reliable healthcare.
