Many medical students and IMGs, especially those from under-represented racial and ethnic backgrounds, face significant financial barriers and high levels of indebtedness that can deter them from following their calling in medicine.
The MSF provides an avenue for to assist qualifying medical students and IMGs with scholarships, mentorship, and support. Without this assistance, these individuals would otherwise have hardships in obtaining the instruction and/or training to obtain licensure required to become practicing physicians in the United States.
