State Resource Centre on Disability Affairs, Meghalaya

The State Resource Centre on Disability Affairs (SRCDA), Meghalaya has been working towards the rehabilitation for the Persons with Disabilities since 2001 in Meghalaya. We have the District Resource Centres on Disability Affairs to help in the rehabilitation of the disabled in the State by providing them with the Unique Disability ID (UDID) Disability Certification as laid down by the Rights for Persons with Disabilities Act 2016. We strive to provide more than 30,000 PwDs with the UDID in the next 5 years. Through our network with the DRCDAs, the District Social Welfare Officers and our Ground Workers (the Multipurpose Rehabilitation Workers & Community Based Rehabilitaiton Workers, MRWs & CBRWs) in all the 48 blocks in the State of Meghalaya, we provide them with rehabilitative interventions, connect disabled entrepreneurs to the relevant line departments, provide customised aids and appliances and other entitlements.
