MelaScan an app using artificial intelligence to screen skin lesions and compare user images to a database of 100,000 images of various skin conditions to predict if the lesion could be skin cancer. Currently, our app is based on the number one model in the 2020 ISIC skin cancer recognition competition and achieved 94.9% accuracy on thousands of images.
Melascan helps increase accessibility to accurate skin cancer screening by taking the guesswork out of the minds of people as they no longer have to evaluate how likely they are to have skin cancer, hoping they made the right assessment, saving them time, money, and worry. Our goal for the app is to help patients proactively get skin cancer screenings at actual dermatologists’ offices.
