Melbourne Flight Training

The concept of Melbourne Flight Training (MFT) was born of the Director’s many years' personal experience within the aviation industry - both flight training and airline operations. Established in 2006, MFT has grown significantly to date, employing more than 20 full time Instructors and a modern fleet of over 20 aircraft, and in 2018 opening a second base at Bacchus Marsh Airfield. Our highly experienced Instructors come from a diverse background within the industry. Many have chosen to make instructing their career. MFT offers flight instructional training for the issue of the Australian Recreational Pilot’s Licence, Private Pilot’s Licence, Commercial Pilot’s Licence, Night Rating, Instructor Rating and the Command Instrument Rating. We also offer Design Feature Endorsements, Flight Activity Endorsements, training for Proficiency Checks and Flight Reviews. We are approved by the Australian Government to provide training for both local and overseas students in a friendly and nurturing environment. Whilst it is crucial students are constantly aware of where their training fits into their overall career, at MFT we recognised that many schools don’t provide the ongoing monitoring, feedback and motivational guidance that is required during training. For that reason we have adopted an interactive and consultative program that remains flexible and responds to changing preferences as students become exposed to the many facets of the industry. We design a program in conjunction with individual student’s that provides the best value flying training program available. We provide you with all the available support and resources needed to reach your full potential as a qualified pilot and achieve your career goals.
