The Melbourne Theranostic Innovation Centre is a custom-designed and built facility that provides clinical and R&D services in the medical field of theranostics (using radiopharmaceuticals to diagnose and treat cancer). MTIC has installed the world's most advanced clinical PET/CT, the Siemens Biograph Vision Quadra. With its increased sensitivity, the Quadra provides patients higher quality diagnostic images, with faster scanning times and lower radiation doses. Through our R&D services, we will help our industry partners facilitate faster development of safe and effective novel radiopharmaceuticals that will diagnose and treat various cancers and rare diseases. Our ultimate mission is to use radiopharmaceuticals and the most advanced imaging technology to provide patients greater access to advanced diagnosis, personalised treatment, and better outcomes.
