Ben and Irina are both specialist veterinarians in surgery and oncology. They both underwent residency training in the UK before relocating to Australia to continue their careers.
They have both worked in general practice, private referral clinics as well as Universities. This has allowed a unique understanding for the different work environments and people’s career stages.
Ben has been part of resident career development and building a new soft tissue service at his previous employment. This allowed him a unique connection with referring vets; discussing their needs for specialist services and valuing their case assessment and management.
Irina has been part of the congress content development for ESVONC and ECVIM. Bi-annually she has also organised Oncology Camp furthering the career development for Oncology residents and interns. This has allowed her to be part of larger congress organisation and develop strategies to offer a unique experience for delegates and speakers alike.
We have both travelled nationally and internationally to participate as delegates and speakers.
The concept of a collaborative conference for both vets and nurses is unique. Vetworks is centred on the premise of showcasing, understanding and discussing different employees’ views on topics. The team is at the very core of our approach to education and veterinary care.
