MEL Films

Since our founding in late 2015, our six-person team has created 50 short, premium, topical and lifestyle documentaries. We've partnered on television programming with Nation Geographic's "Explorer", have been featured on NBC and "Meet the Press", and have landed in The Atlantic twelve times. Our films have appeared on VICE, Slate, Washington Post, and the Today Show. We've received ten Staff Picks on Vimeo, and have had eighteen different films run at festivals around the world, including Palm Springs, DOC NYC, and Cannes. We've won two Webby Honorees, have been nominated by Webby for best documentary film fo the year, nominated for a Streamy, a IDA Awards, and won an Edward R. Murrow award for journalism. We try to make films that don't suck.
