Melimundo

Melimundo is a travel tool focused on helping travellers and digital nomads manage their time within the Schengen Area. Its core feature is the Schengen calculator, which tracks up to 10 multi-entry trips under the EU’s 90/180-day rule. The calculator provides visual timelines to flag overstays and assist users in planning their trips to comply with Schengen visa regulations. All user data is stored locally on the device, requiring no account or personal information, ensuring user privacy and control. The core feature was simplified as Gemma Black, the creator, developed tools she personally needed for her travels and had less time to focus on multiple initiatives. Originally, Melimundo offered a broader range of travel and visa-related tools, including detailed visa information pages and document organisation features. While some visa pages were removed to focus the product, other tools remain part of the platform. In addition to the Schengen calculator, Melimundo includes a 183-day tax stay calculator, created to help Gemma track tax residency limits and ensure she did not breach tax stay rules in Spain. These additional calculators assist travellers with key aspects of international travel. Recent updates have improved usability of the Schengen Calculator by adding features such as displaying the number of days per trip directly in the interface and fixing the visualisation of single-day trips in the timeline. These changes reflect ongoing efforts to simplify complex rules and support travellers managing multi-entry travel schedules within the Schengen Area. Melimundo continues to evolve based on traveller needs, aiming to provide practical and privacy-conscious tools for international travel planning and compliance.
