Men 4 Equality

Men 4 Equality Trust is a Zimbabwean non-profit organisation committed to engaging men and boys as allies in the fight for gender equality, social justice, and the elimination of gender-based violence (GBV). It is a registered Trust (MA1302/2021) under the legal laws of Zimbabwe. Founded on the principles of positive masculinity, human rights, and community-driven change, the organization challenges deeply rooted patriarchal norms and empowers men and boys to take an active role in promoting safer, more equitable communities. Our Mission To transform social norms by engaging men and boys in gender justice advocacy, mental health awareness, and community empowerment, fostering environments where women, children, and marginalized groups can thrive free from discrimination and violence. Our Vision A Zimbabwean society where men and women coexist in dignity, equality, and mutual respect, and where men play an active role in dismantling harmful gender norms. Objectives of the organization 1. To lobby for the eradication of all forms of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in both public and private spaces to protect all genders from all forms of violence. 2. To cooperate and collaborate with communities, local authorities, relevant, and interested stakeholders in initiatives designed to develop and support development programs that cater for the beneficiaries. 3. To strengthen safe spaces for men and boys to embrace transformative masculinities. 4. To mobilize a critical mass of boys and men to enhance women's and girls’ rights and amplify their voices through challenging negative social norms and practices that have acted as a barrier to gender equality. 5.
