MenAble Australia Inc is a regional Western Australia Men’s Health and Wellbeing not-for-profit organisation. The local community has come together via this group to help address the challenges men and boys so often face in being active, connected, and mentally resilient.
Since 2019 the group has been working under the Man Walk Australia entity to help build social capital, combat isolation and improve health outcomes. For the community as a whole but with a particular focus on boys and men in our region.
They established the first regional man walk in WA and progressed to outreach these benefits to the wider community.
These activities have included community walks for up to 200 participants, free community events on health and wellbeing matters, establishing networks for new dads, documentary screenings, school incursions and activities focussed on combatting family and domestic violence.
