Mending Maui is a non-profit organization based in CT with the goal of aiding the people of Maui during the devastating wildfires of 2023.
The death toll continues to rise, and the Maui wildfires have become the deadliest in modern U.S. history. Additionally, a total of 2,200 buildings have been damaged, and 2,170 acres have been burned. People in Maui are forced to evacuate their homes as the wildfires threaten lives and destroy property.
Our organization, Mending Maui, will be hosting our first fundraiser on Saturday 8/19 outside of Uncle's Deli in Darien, CT. We will be selling baked goods and bracelets, and will be accepting donations to support the people of Maui. All proceeds from these fundraisers will go to Maui Food Bank and HawaI'I Community Foundation.
