The MENENS project is a collaboration of 22 partners from the Dutch maritime sector that aims to develop and implement the use of methanol as a fuel for ships as a step towards emission-free shipping. The partners aim to develop adaptive system solutions based on methanol and validate the technology in field labs. The project will result in knowledge and solutions that are directly applicable to the performance of different combustion systems, fuel cells, and drive and energy systems in the maritime sector.
