MENTOR Texas

The mission of MENTOR Texas is to fuel the quality and quantity of mentoring relationships across Texas and to close the mentoring gap for the one in three young people growing up without a mentor outside their family. Our vision is for each young person in Texas to have access to the supportive relationships and social capital they need to become thriving, productive and engaged citizens. Mentoring sits at the intersection of education, business, and community, impacting educational attainment, workforce development, and community engagement. For nearly 30 years, MENTOR has served the mentoring field by providing a public voice; developing and delivering resources to mentoring programs nationwide; and promoting quality for mentoring through evidence-based standards, innovative research and essential tools.
