The Mentoring Research Network (MRN) is a vibrant grassroots initiative established in 2021, and spearheaded by dynamic researchers and scholars across the Global South. The transdisciplinary research approach we adopt aims to produce a set of frameworks and system-based thinking that can inform and structure sustainability in various fields of science, such as climate and health, food and water security, planetary health, Infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases, Mental, Physical and spiritual well-being, among other broad fields of science. Through mentorship, we discuss the intricate interconnections underpinning these challenges and strive to enhance meaningful research collaboration that contributes to the well-being of both humanity and the planet for future generations to come.
