Meraki theatre group is all about the creative theatre process. One not only learns acting or activities here. One deals here with oneself. The group came into existence in 2019 when a bunch of artists along with their director couldn't resist an urge to explore the space in a consistent, enthusiastic manner.
It believes in honesty and determination. This is a platform where we work on the way of being alive. The place is to know your thoughts and feelings. Since in today's time we have so many situations that give us many ups and downs, theatre makes the person more in tune with the inner voice of oneself. Here this Oasis of a world full of adventures and rendezvous. Here actors have their own understanding to construct the space and turn their imagination into reality.
Meraki has seen many surges of times (such as corona and lockdown) yet it stood completely. The passion and the will to be part of theatre made each and every group member to withstand this test.
So far, Meraki has performed in Delhi NCR, NSD, Rudrapur (Uttrakhand), Mysore, National theatre festivals. The group has a strong ethos when it comes to dealing with situational problems. People are lively and engaging all and all. We are all invested in the craft. We are all coming from different backgrounds and cultures, yet we have this deep sense of togetherness for the stage!
The thirst for this pursuit is the fuel of our energy.
We also conduct workshops for corporates, schools, colleges, NGOs.
