Merida Company for General Trading & Transport is located in Zakho city which the capital city for Zakho district belonging to Duhok governorate in Northern Iraq (Kurdistan Region of Iraq). It lies very close to the Turkish border and it is one of the main entry trading points into the region and Iraq as a whole. Merida Company has two branches located in Mersin (Turkey and Erbil (Iraq). The company started its transport activity back in 1995 (when it was an office for customs & clearance services). Later, the company had expanded its activities till 2012 and got involved in trading with miscellaneous food supplies, dairy products and construction materials (mainly cement and re-enforcement steel bars).
