Merida Company for General Trading & Transport is located in Zakho city which the capital city for Zakho district belonging to Duhok governorate in Northern Iraq (Kurdistan Region of Iraq). It lies very close to the Turkish border and it is one of the main entry trading points into the region and Iraq as a whole. Merida Company has two branches located in Mersin (Turkey and Erbil (Iraq). The company started its transport activity back in 1995 (when it was an office for customs & clearance services). Later, the company had expanded its activities till 2012 and got involved in trading with miscellaneous food supplies, dairy products and construction materials (mainly cement and re-enforcement steel bars). It was announced as Merida Company on 27/November/2012. Since 2012, we have been trading ties with companies in Turkey, General Trading & Transport Germany, United Arab Emirate (Gulf), and with a partner stationed in Turkey. Merida Company is registered in the Ministry of Finance and Economy in Erbil, Kurdistan of Iraq. The manager of Merida Company has also obtained membership and is affiliated to :- 1) The Iraqi Importers and Exporters Union. 2) Republic of Iraq Duhok Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Services :- 1. Customs & Clearance Services, and Transport Services. 2. Merida Company is an active transport company providing transportation services for transportation of miscellaneous supplies from EU countries and Turkey into Iraq. 3. Importation of miscellaneous of food supplies and dairy products mostly from Turkey and Gulf States. The imported supplies are all sold at the local market to wholesale traders and retailers all over Iraq 4. Procurement of cargo and concrete mixing trucks from Germany and selling them in the local market.
