Merrigan (Ret.) to provide skilled and impartial conflict resolution services. Judge Merrigan brings a unique background and perspective to conflict resolution. He served for nearly twelve years as a trial court judge. During twenty-four years as a practicing attorney, he litigated cases as a trial lawyer and defended them as the general counsel for a major manufacturer of athletic equipment. In addition, he has been specifically trained in mediation skills and techniques at the National Judicial College, Harvard Law School Program on Negotiation, MIT-HARVARD Public Disputes Program, and in Native American Peacemaking, In short, Judge Merrigan understands what it takes to mediate and arbitrate complex disputes and to work with all parties as an impartial neutral.
