Mertebe Mühendislik provides structural design services for most types and sizes of buildings. It is founded in Istanbul in 2018.
The founder worked with Irfan Balıoğlu (Balkar) about 10 years. In that period, he worked as project designer and coordinator for several projects such as high-rise structures (Soyak Crystal Tower, Istanbloom Tower, AkAsya Tower, MesaKoz Tower, Halkbank Tower, Hilton Bomonti Tower), shopping malls (AkAsya AVM, Mavibahce AVM), office, residential (Buyukyalı, Bomonti The House), hotel buildings, hospital, arena structures (Ulker Basketball Arena), airport (Istanbul New Airport), opera/theatre buildings (AKM, Haldun Taner Sahnesi), etc.
During the design process, we aim to maintain architectural elegance and functionality, also make the structures safer and reliable for earthquakes.
So far, we collaborated with well-known architecture companies and have made several projects for every level of complexity, size and types. We can manage design in any phases such as concept design, design development, tender and construction documents.
We are specialized in earthquake-resistant design and performance-based design. Also, we are able to provide design services in compatible with the new Turkish Seismic Building Code 2018 (TSBC-2018) and American Design Codes and Guidelines (ASCE, ACI, AISC, FEMA, etc.). In design, we prefer to use internationally accepted analysis software such as Etabs, Sap2000 and Perform-3D. Besides, we believe in that experience and know-how is the best tools in design.
Besides providing structural design services, we also develop software to help designers and drafters. We have developed some AutoCAD drawing programs to produce easy, quick and detailed construction drawings. And, we have some software to make design calculations, to evaluate the design results practically and prepare design reports.
