About Meshewa House at Turner Farm

The Meshewa House at Turner Farm is a historic estate located on 230 acres of organic farmland and open pastures. A reminder of simpler times, it’s a peaceful setting for any event. The land was developed in the 1920s as part of the evolving equestrian community of Indian Hill. Completed in 1935 for Mary Stephenson, the estate was almost entirely self-sustaining during the war years and middle part of the 20th century. In 1967 she bought the Meshewa Estate’s neighboring 60-acre farm, Turner Farm, and in 1993 her granddaughter Bonnie Mitsui returned to the area and began farming it organically. As Bonnie’s legacy, the entire property has been permanently protected from future development. Renovations of the Meshewa House were completed in September 2019 as part of Turner Farm’s mission to preserve the land and the bucolic, bygone way of life it represents and evokes. Architect Mark Dunkley and designer Interiors by Kurtinitis saw to its era-appropriate revival, while also leaving room to install all the smart, modern amenities you could want.
