META-BRAIN Project

META-BRAIN is a Horizon Europe project that brings together seven expert partners in the fields of nanotechnology, nano and microelectronics, new materials, brain science, clinical experience, and computation with the aim of achieving precise spatiotemporal control of brain activity using remote magnets and/or ultrasound. To this end, and to ensure success, META-BRAIN —MagnetoElectric and Ultrasonic Technology for Advanced BRAIN modulation— will propose state-of-the-art technological developments based on two innovative strategies: non-invasive magnetoelectric stimulation by means of magnetoelectric nanoparticles and minimally invasive ultrasound stimulation.
