Metabuilding Labs

Metabuilding Labs is an Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB) for the Built Environment sector, that currently operates across 13 EU and Associated Countries. This network of R&D actors and innovation service providers ensures streamlined and transparent access to over 100 testing infrastructures, capabilities, and services essential for developing, testing, certificating, and scaling-up new construction components. It provides professional assistance to companies and users in developing innovative building products, from laboratory validation (TRL4) to full-scale prototypes in controlled environments and pilot operations with user involvement (TRL7+). ▶️ The OITB also offers a range of services to help innovations reach the market, including non-technical support, certification, industrial scale-up and digital software services. ▶️ Metabuilding Labs OITB network will eventually extend throughout Europe, providing a ubiquitous and streamlined access for all to laboratory tests, test beds, living labs, and pilot buildings. The Metabuilding ecosystem, the digital platform (www,metabuilding.com) and the OITB are managed from a Single-Entry Point, a non-profit organisation based in Brussels, the Metabuilding Association (ASBL), that aims to serve all stakeholders in the European research and innovation ecosystem in the construction sector. METABUILDING LABS (G.A. Nº 953193) is a five-year Horizon 2020 EU-funded project.
