Swedish Metals & Minerals

Swedish Metals & Minerals is one of five programs within Impact Innovation – Sweden's large innovation initiative to tackle the challenges of our time and the future. It is an actor-driven and long-term gathering of forces that will contribute to global competitiveness through transition to sustainable development. The program involves a large number of actors in the mining, metals, recycling and manufacturing industries, academia, research institutes, municipalities, regions, associations, trade unions and public authorities. The Mission is to support Sweden’s and Europe’s goals to transform Europe into a climate neutral, resource-efficient, environmentally sound economy that is less reliant on imported, unsustainably produced or insecure sources of raw materials by 2050. Swedish Metals & Minerals is part of Impact Innovation – an initiative by the Swedish Energy Agency, Formas and Vinnova. SE Swedish Metals & Minerals är ett av fem program inom Impact Innovation - Sveriges stora innovationssatsning för att tackla vår tids och framtidens utmaningar. Det är en aktörsdriven och långsiktig kraftsamling som ska bidra till global konkurrenskraft genom omställning till hållbar utveckling. Programmet engagerar ett stort antal aktörer inom gruv-, metall-, återvinnings- och tillverkningsindustrin, akademi, forskningsinstitut, kommuner, regioner, föreningar, fackförbund och myndigheter. Uppdraget är att stödja Sveriges och Europas mål att omvandla Europa till en klimatneutral, resurseffektiv och miljövänlig ekonomi som är mindre beroende av importerade, ohållbart producerade eller osäkra råvarukällor till 2050. Swedish Metals & Minerals är en del av Impact Innovation - ett initiativ av Energimyndigheten, Formas och Vinnova.
