Metawe is proudly a Métis owned and operated software and technology company. Our team has more than 30 years of IT experience, with capabilities ranging from software development and video games, to leadership, IT project management, and consulting. When we're not consulting with clients, our team is focused on achieving our mission. Which is to create imaginative worlds and embrace our roots as storytellers in order to provide a truly immersive gaming experience. We believe that video games are the next generation of storytelling, allowing us to connect and share our stories in unique digital worlds. Our company's name, Metawe, is inspired by our heritage and reflects our vision. It is derived from the Cree phrase, Pe Metawe ᐯ ᒣᑕᐁᐧ meaning to "Come and Play". We are located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Which is located on the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta.
