MetOC Metropolitan Orienteering Club

Metropolitan Orienteering Club (MetOC) is founded by five young Hong Kong students in 2014, aiming to improve and innovate the sport of orienteering. Every year we organise competitions, trainings and tryouts in the city and the hills. The flagship events of the club are Sprint Duet and Metvigator, which allow orienteers in Hong Kong and around the world to experience the streets and paths of the city and the countryside. MetOC has a strong presence in Central, where an area-wide orienteering map has been completed and events themed with culture and heritage exploration. Events are held in Kowloon and the New Territories as well. MetOC's Tai Po map has been awarded the Sprint Map of the Year 2017 by the Orienteering Association of Hong Kong. In addition to public events, MetOC also organises school and company trainings on request, as well as cartography and visual design. The rapidly expanding orienteering market in East and Southeast Asia is an important opportunity for MetOC. We are one of the most important orienteering clubs in Hong Kong today, and aim to expand participation in the sport to road and trail runners, outdoor-savvy people and others alike.
