MetPac-SA is a post-consumer metal packaging Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO) dedicated to fostering environmental sustainability in line with the principles of the circular economy.
Our mission is to enhance recycling efforts and reduce waste by encouraging responsible environmental practices among producers and consumers. We collaborate with various strategic partners in the metal packaging value chain to enhance post-consumer materials circulatory.
By raising awareness and implementing innovative solutions, we aim to contribute positively to our planet’s sustainability. MetPac-SA is a registered Producer Responsibility Organisation with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and Environment (DFFE), EPR Registration Number: 19/7/5/P/ PRO/20210720/005 and is responsible for the South African metal packaging EPR strategy in alignment with Section 18 of South African National Environmental Management: Waste Act (NEMWA).
