Metra Consulting Engineers Co. was established in 1363 with the aim of designing and supervising transportation projects of Iran. It gradually turned into one of the most capable consultant companies in Iran to provide and present applicable solutions in all technical fields, management and development of transportation industry.
Experiences of Metra in studying, designing and supervising the construction of over 8000 km railway in Iran and 700 km outside Iran and hundred km road and freeway indicate its competency.
Metra which was first founded with cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways in order to carry out studies on road, railway, subway and supervise the mentioned projects (which used to be conducted by foreign consultant companies before the glorious Islamic Revolution), was privatized by the Iranian Privatization Organization in 1387 and 1388 to apply the general policies of Article 44 of the Iranian Constitution by auction and is now privately owned.
