mettle is an award-winning community strength training and weightlifting club. We’re affiliated to British Weightlifting, the national governing body of Olympic Weightlifting and Weight Lifting.
We believe that through strength-based sport and physical activity, we can build healthier, happier and stronger communities.
We do this through our three core programmes:
- Olympic Weightlifting: The competitive sport of lifting weights using the snatch and clean and jerk lifts.
- Strong & social: our youth club in a gym, a more general programme utilising strength training and bodyweight exercises to achieve physical and social outcomes.
- girlstrong: a women and girls 'strength & fitness' offer. For women & girls, coached by women & girls
