mgb is the acronym of Massimiliano Granceri Bradaschia who is an independent consultant with more than 10 years of work experience. Massimiliano holds a Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Development (2020), M.Sc. in Urban and Environmental Planning (2014), and is officially registered to the Italian Urban Planning National Register (2014) and to the Turin Architects and Urbanists register (2020). Massimiliano is a professional with diverse and multicultural experiences as both scholar and practitioner in Brazil, France, Spain, and Italy. He also a lecturer and he wrote and published several papers for scientific journals, international conferences, online magazines, and books. Over the past 15 years, he has worked as a consultant for public and private organizations (i.e. governments, consortia, universities, and companies) in the geographical information system (GIS), spatial planning, environmental and climate policy fields in Brazil, France, Spain, and Italy. He has 15 years of experience in GIS-based analysis developed through freelance activities (i.e. NGOs, research institutions, consortia, and public entities) and collaboration within International programmes (i.e. European Union’s Copernicus programme for Disaster Risk Management and Post-Disaster first-response action). He has also 10 years of work experience in the fields of urban and environmental planning, climate policy, and monitoring and evaluation. He has collaborated with i) governments ii) private companies and consortia, iii) learning and research institutions, iv) donors and funding organizations, supporting the improvement and update of their operative frameworks with the aim to mainstream Sustainability and Climate Change Adaptation. Due to his interdisciplinary background and his accustomedness in working with different professionals he always adds a complementary, but never antagonist, perspective on how to work at Science-Policy and Policy-Action interfaces.
