Established in 1989, Gulf Coast Community Foundation promotes charitable giving, empowers donors, and improves our community by facilitating investment in a variety of charitable causes. GCCF plays a unique role by attracting, managing, and distributing millions of charitable dollars to improve the lives of local people.
At GCCF, we believe in the power of giving to create positive change in the region we serve - George, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River and Stone counties. In our partnership with local businesses, civic organizations, philanthropists and community members, GCCF aims to improve the Mississippi Gulf Coast through its leadership and knowledge of the community's evolving needs. We achieve our mission by providing recognized leadership and standing at the forefront of issues affecting our community; encouraging philanthropy; distributing grants to charitable causes; and awarding scholarships.
GCCF provides administrative services to more than 100 funds that help local grassroots organizations achieve their charitable objectives. In 2022, $4.4 million was distributed in South Mississippi. More than $100 million has been disbursed since 1989.
