The MSGBC Basin is a vast area situated off the West Coast of Africa. It is currently the focus of $10bn+ investment to bring onstream next year the GTA 15 TCF gas complex and the Sangomar 350 mmbbls of oil. These two discoveries were made within the last decade following the acquisition of the NWAAM 2D seismic data. Subsequently, after the acquisition of the Jaan 3D seismic data the knowledge (or could say the “proven prospectivity of the area”) has been extended to the southern portion of the basin, which is conjugate to the Guyana/Suriname success on the western side of the Atlantic.
