We would like to welcome you all to the page of the Medical Image Analysis Laboratory (MIAL). MIAL was born in 2011 as a research group associated with the University of Lausanne and the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV, Radiology department), two of the founding partners of the CIBM Center for Biomedical Imaging.
We believe that the appropriate use of medical imaging requires a multidisciplinary approach. Thus, we develop advanced methods for medical image processing in close collaboration with medical doctors and industrial partners. We have several application-oriented projects in the fields of Radiology, Neurology, Neuro-surgery, Oncology, and Psychiatry.
