MI Associates (MIA) is an economic and political research organization established in 1986, assumed tasks as a boutique investment banking firm.
The organization was set up by Marwan Iskandar, an economist who has advised the governments of Oman, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. He has published 15 books on economic and social issues as well as 25 yearly reports about the Lebanese economy.
MIA completed feasibility studies for Solidere and Marina Joseph Khoury and secured partial financing for both projects. Mergers of six banking operations in Lebanon were organized by MIA, as well as takeover by SGBL of a bank in Jordan.
