The Michael H Cohen Law Group was founded in 1999 to represent health and wellness products and technologies, practices, and ventures, that accelerate health and healing.
The firm’s mission statement reflected the firm’s focus on health and healing as commitment “to the alleviation of suffering, to the regeneration of spirit, and to the endless unfolding of the human heart.” We have always understood “medicine,” in the “broadest sense, to encompass all global healing traditions – whether ancient or modern, tribal or technological, herbal or pharmaceutical; whether based on the biochemistry of the body of the anatomy of the spirit.”
Michael H. Cohen, Founder & President, spent the next five years on faculty at Harvard Medical School, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, and then as Adjunct Professor at the Harvard School of Public Health, as Director of Legal Programs for the Harvard Medical School Osher Institute. This unusual position, which encompassed developing policies and procedures governing integrative medicine across all 14 Harvard-affiliated hospitals, laid the groundwork for subsequent client representation across ancient and modern, healthcare technologies and platforms.
In 2005, Michael teamed up with Alan Dumoff, an attorney and social worker widely known for his pioneering work in representing multidisciplinary clinical care facilities and entities. Meet our Team.
