Michael Howard, MD

Dr. Michael Howard, Author, Pediatrician, Consultant, and Public Speaker, has over 40 years of experience as a pediatrician in private, clinical, and hospital practice as well as a teacher and associate professor at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is currently writing and developing a unique parenting guide from a pediatrician's perspective. He has been a frequent media spokesperson for the University of Louisville School of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics, with numerous appearances and interviews on television, radio, and print media, both locally and nationally, discussing all aspects of children's health, development, and well-being, as well as adoption issues. Dr. Howard was the founder and director of the Pediatric International Adoption Clinic, which provides a comprehensive service for prospective and current adoptive parents in the Kentucky and Southern Indiana region, as well as for the children they adopt from foreign countries. Dr. Howard is one of a small group of select physicians in the sub-section on Foster Care and Adoption for the American Academy of Pediatrics, representing international adoption.
