PROFILO Eyewear was started in 1985 in Trivandrum India. The objective was to cater to the ever growing demand for quality spectacle frames made of acetate. With access to the latest technology of the times machinery from France Germany and Italy are used to produce frames using virgin cellulose acetate frames. Frames are handmade and undergo over 50 operations over a period of four days to achieve international standards.Our Italian trained engineers are very skilled in frame design and make hundreds of styles for own brand and OEM customers. With an installed manufacturing capacity of over 20000 frames per month we can produce any style as per custom design. Besides the huge domestic market PROFILO frames are exported to many countries in Asia Africa Europe and Australia. In the 90s production has diversified to include combination frames metal frames sunglasses and reading glasses.In addition to the above PROFILO has entered the Industrial safety market with high impact resistance safety spectacles that meet or exceeds ANZI / EU standards for eye protection. We are registered suppliers to the Ministry of Defence workshops Government of India and several large companies in India. In 2002 sun glasses were included in our basket of products. We offer mid range good quality sun glasses in Metal and Plastic for all ages.PROFILO also works with NGOs / Government agencies / Philanthropists / Charities that work in the field of eye care and blindness prevention to provide low cost solutions and intervention for the visually impaired.
