Established in 1997, Microcell Group, was an original design manufacturer (ODM) of wireless global systems for mobile communications (GSM), general packet radio service (GPRS) and enhanced data rates for global systems for mobile communications evolution (EDGE) handset products. Microcell's operations included product creation centers in Finland and Denmark, Business Operations offices in Switzerland and the U.S. with a large scale manufacturing operation in Nanjing, China. . The company had 5 locations within Finland: Oulu (HQ), Raahe, Kuopio, Turku and Helsinki.
