Das noch junge Grazer Unternehmen Microinnova Engineering GmbH wurde 2003 von Dr. Dirk Kirschneck gegründet und beschäftigt mittlerweile 24 Mitarbeiter. Die Kernkompetenz von Microinnova liegt in der Neugestaltung von Prozessen durch innovative Technologien für die chemische und pharmazeutische Industrie. Das ist eine herausfordernde Aufgabe, denn genau dieser Industriezweig ist dem wachsenden Druck ausgesetzt, Entwicklungszeiten ständig zu verkürzen und die Prozesse immer leistungsfähiger und kostengünstiger zu machen. Gleichzeitig sollen Produktionsqualität und Prozesssicherheit gesteigert und Prozessschwankungen minimiert werden. Um den perfekten Prozess zu entwickeln, ist ein tief greifendes Verständnis aller Kernparameter und relevanter Einflussfaktoren im industriellen Umfeld notwendig. In einem gemeinschaftlichen EU-Projekt haben sich interdisziplinäre Teams aus Forschung, Entwicklung und Industrie zusammengeschlossen, um ein modulares Mehrzweckkonzept für die Chemiefabrik der Zukunft zu entwickeln.
