Stichting Microkrediet voor Moeders richt zich op het stimuleren van vrouwelijk ondernemerschap in Azië. Dat doen we door het geven van trainingen en het verstrekken van kleine leningen aan vrouwen. Zo helpen we vrouwen in Azië om economische zelfstandigheid te verwerven om zichzelf, hun gezin en hun lokale economie te ondersteunen. De stichting werkt op projectbasis samen met lokale partners in Azië. Samen ontwikkelen we een microkrediet-programma op maat dat volledig is afgestemd op de behoefte van een specifieke groep vrouwen in een land of regio. We bepalen samen een acceptabele rente die de vrouwen terug kunnen betalen en die volstaat om de bedrijfsvoering van de partner te bekostigen. Microkrediet voor Moeders is afhankelijk van donaties en werkt in Nederland met vrijwilligers. Ook werkt Microkrediet voor Moeders samen met Nederlandse organisaties die hun betrokkenheid tonen in natura, euro’s of nieuwe business. Daardoor blijven de kosten van de stichting laag en gaat iedere gedoneerde euro vrijwel bijna volledig naar de doelgroep in Azië.
