MICS Survey Programme

The Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) is the largest global household survey program dedicated to generating high-quality, internationally comparable data on women and children worldwide. Led by UNICEF with National Statistical Offices and implemented in over 120 countries since 1995, MICS provides critical insights that inform national policies, monitor progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and drive evidence-based decision-making for children’s well-being. 🔹 Trusted Data Source: MICS supports governments and partners by collecting and analyzing data on health, education, child protection, water and sanitation, nutrition, and more. 🔹 Empowering Policymakers: Our data helps shape national development strategies and social policies to improve outcomes for children and vulnerable populations. 🔹 Global Partnership: We work with national statistical offices, development partners, and researchers to ensure robust and reliable data collection and analysis. MICS is an integral part of the plans and policies of many governments around the world, and a major data source for 40 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) indicators. The MICS programme continues to evolve with new methodologies and initiatives, including MICS Plus, MICS Link, MICS GIS and the MICS Tabulator.
