Our Vision
The metaphor of the midnight sun reflects the northernmost places in our world and represents both the adaptiveness and circular balance of nature.
The winters in the land of the midnight sun are harsh and unforgiving and yet provides the land what it needs. The cold cold conserves the permafrost in the ground, creates sea ice for creatures like polar bears, and can also lead to better soil for vegetation.
The summers in the land of the midnight sun are the complete opposite. The near 24 hour sunlight allows for vegetation growth during an otherwise short growing season, which in turn allows for hibernating life to take full advantage of the changed landscape.
The balance of the midnight sun and the harsh winters in the north create a unique, resilient, and beautiful ecosystem. In short, we need both the winter and the summer as each plays an important part in the delicate balance of this land.
Similarly, our lives are filled with hard times and good times. When people are living in the difficult times it can feel like a barren place. It can feel like they are living in winter with no hope of a spring.
At Midnight Sun Wellness, our goal is to bring in the transformative light and also help our clients to live in and through the difficult times. We understand life gets hard and we want to give our clients the skills to adapt and work through the difficult times in their lives while being able to enjoy and be present through the pleasurable moments they experience.

At Midnight Sun Wellness our mission is to work inclusively and empathetically with any client who can benefit from our psychological services.
MSPWC therapists and psychologists are culturally competent and possess a variety of specialties to meet the unique psychological needs of each client in Alberta and NWT with therapeutic services grounded in respectful curiosity, empathy, and compassion.
