MidtSkandia

MidtSkandia is one of the 12 cross-border committees within the Nordic Council of Ministes network. Regional municipalities and counties in Västerbotten end Nordland make up our members in our association. Funding comes mainly from members and project funding (2/3) and partly (1/3) by the Nordic Council of Ministers. We strive to push the Nordics towards the vision of being "The most integrated and sustainable region in the world by 2030". Midtskandia works with development and networking over the Norwegian/Swediosh border, development of teh infrastructure in the border region, especially in the esta/west corridor, and support for local and regional actors in cross border matters. Our main offices are in Tärnaby, Sweden and we have representation also in Mo i Rana in Norway. Our members stretch from Umeå by the Kvarken strait to Norwegian islands in the Atlantic.
