Midwest Open MRI was the first free-standing MRI facility in Madison to be accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This means that since January 2001, our facility has met and continues to meet the highest standards required of this national accrediting organization.

Our Center
Midwest Open MRI has been providing services to our patients throughout southern Wisconsin since 1999. At that time, there were conventional MRI services available in the area, but the open MRI system had not yet arrived in the Madison area. As a result, a group of medical professionals and concerned citizens financed the Hitachi Airis II Open MRI System, and Midwest Open MRI became the first in the area to specialize in providing open MRI services. We have recently upgraded to a Hitachi Altaire Machine.
We are an independent, free-standing clinic that is not directly associated with a hospital or other clinic.
Our facility provides both the technical and the professional services. Our scans are interpreted by board certified Radiologists who have numerous years of experience in reading MRI films.
Our MRI Radiology Technologists have over 30 years of experience combined and all are specifically trained in MRI.
