Midwest Open MRI was the first free-standing MRI facility in Madison to be accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR). This means that since January 2001, our facility has met and continues to meet the highest standards required of this national accrediting organization. Redefining MRI Scans After 15 years of dedication and excellence in service to all of South Central Wisconsin, Midwest Open MRI in Madison will be unveiling big changes. As advancements for MRI technologies develop, we are committed to including and offering the very best in service to our patients and the best in quality to our participating doctors. We assist health care practitioners in their desire to provide the best possible care for their clients by offering high quality services. We create a positive environment for our staff to excel and for our clients to thrive." Our Center Midwest Open MRI has been providing services to our patients throughout southern Wisconsin since 1999. At that time, there were conventional MRI services available in the area, but the open MRI system had not yet arrived in the Madison area. As a result, a group of medical professionals and concerned citizens financed the Hitachi Airis II Open MRI System, and Midwest Open MRI became the first in the area to specialize in providing open MRI services. We have recently upgraded to a Hitachi Altaire Machine. We are an independent, free-standing clinic that is not directly associated with a hospital or other clinic. Our facility provides both the technical and the professional services. Our scans are interpreted by board certified Radiologists who have numerous years of experience in reading MRI films. Our MRI Radiology Technologists have over 30 years of experience combined and all are specifically trained in MRI.
