Our Mission: The Miistakis Institute brings people and ideas together to promote healthy communities and landscapes. We study the landscape so we can help people maintain it; and we work to make innovative research accessible to communities and decision makers.
The Miistakis Institute is a non-profit organization that specializes in evaluating complex environmental problems to find science-based solutions for land managers, stakeholders, and a diverse group of decision makers. As a research institute, a conservation charity, and a social enterprise the Miistakis Institute is able to embody the roles necessary to broker, transfer or mobilize knowledge into an interactive and useable format for anyone involved in environmental matters.
