Ktaqmkuk Mi'kmaw Fluency Project

The Ktaqmkuk Mi’kmaw Fluency Project is a student-led, not-for-profit organization, committed to bring back fluency in the Mi’kmaw language, as a cornerstone of the Mi’kmaw cultural revival in Ktaqmkuk. Learning opportunities are open to anyone, regardless of their background or location. Through our unique and immersive online interactive classes, our in-community experiences, and our ‘teach it forward’ approach, where our students will become teachers, we will reverse the impact of 500 plus years of colonization on the Mi’kmaw language.
