Milestone is charity aimed at raising awareness of, and normalising the conversation around, mental health, removing the stigmas that still exist in today’s society and acting as a catalyst for others to engage with and tackle whatever it is that they are facing in the knowledge that they are not alone.
Milestone will introduce and re-create the familiar and positive aspects of a sports ‘dressing room’ culture - communication, openness, honesty, bravery, accountability and support - in its quest to overcome ‘the stiff upper lip’.
Milestone is:
1. a resource: to help educate and raise awareness around mental health and mental well-being.
2. a collective: bringing people together through a variety of initiatives and events to try and inspire others (especially men) to be comfortable to communicate their feelings, emotions, concerns or worries without fear of judgment, shame or a perception of weakness.
3. a fundraiser: for CALM, The MS Trust and the Professional Cricketer’s Trust
